Every detail was literally thought of, even had the cottage decorated for Christmas. It did not take us long to feel at home.
The cottage is much bigger and far more luxurious than appears in the photo's, they do not do it any justice.
The scenery in every direction is breath taking with so much wild life to see.
Both my family and my dogs enjoyed our delightful stay over the 2011 Christmas period.
We will definitely plan to stay again in the near future.
Would highly recommend to anyone.

What joy - forgot to write in the visitor's book, guess I was still pondering squatters rights!! An absolute haven from the rigours of working at Burghley Horse Trials, absolutely everything we could have hoped for and more. A very welcoming, well thought out retreat to which we will return. The offer of an extra night allowed us to take full advantage if only for a short time. Thank you Annie - you have made two old people very happy x

Three weeks of comfort, better than a home from home.
We stayed here while working on the University of Leicester excavation at Burrough Hill - the Iron Age hillfort. The house was perfect with a hall to store all our muddy gear and plenty of space for relaxing at the end of the day. We did not need the TV with all the scenery to look at and wildlife to watch from the conservatory every long summer evening.
Annie is great: she's a fantastic host and friendly neighbour who leaves you to your own devices but is always available when needed.
With plenty of footpaths that lead to pubs serving food you can even avoid the cooking, if you wish.

We see a farm from above,
we see a family full of love.
From down below the mist is gray,
from above gray is not of the day.
When on the ground, only couleur is to be found,
when blue, red, brown yellow meet, all is sound.
For life is such a precious thing,
for life is like a bird on the wing.
Monday we arrived
Tuesday we settled
Wednesday we visited
Thursday we welcomed

Saturday we explored
Sunday we said good-bye
and we thank you for your kindness.

Stayed from December 27th 2010 to January 3rd 2011. This was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. It was warm, cosy and comfortable. We spent most of the daylight hours in the conservatory admiring the beautiful views and the wildlife. The kitchen was a really good size for cooking all the great food available locally and bedrooms were also very comfortable.
Being able to do walks straight from the cottage was an added bonus. I'm sure we will be back.

Cute cottage in relaxing surroundings - hope to return to continue exploring beautiful countryside
We had a very nice short break at the moscow cottage. It was the second time and certainly not the last. The welcome with the homemaid cookies and it is so peaceful and beautiful out there.
Thanks Annie,

It was lovely, so so peaceful and relaxing with amazing views over the countryside. The cottage itself is fantastic, cosy but with all the mod cons. The kids loved it too and we hope to be back. Thank you.

We recently enjoyed a very relaxing time at Moscow Farm - the cottage has everything needed in a home away from home and has been well thought out. The whole place has a lovely feel to it and brings a sense of calm and peace - especially when kicking back in the wonderful conservatory. Many thanks to all The Johnson family for a great time.

Have been regular visitors for many years, enjoying the peace and quiet and lots of local walks from the cottage. Not an area known for tourism, it is surprising how many walks there are as well as other interests.
Cottage much improved since refurbishment and the addition of the conservatory is a real bonus. We are glad to be able to come back after a two year gap when it was not available.
We first stayed at the Cottage in October 2009 and enjoyed it so much that we came back for New Year! The homemade cookies on arrival were lovely. The cottage is clean, quirky and well equipped. Great for families and pet owners! Hopefully see you again in 2010!

From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. Spacious, clean and well equipped cottage with fantastic views from the conservatory. Didn't use the car from the moment we got to Moscow Farm. Lovely country walks from the cottage and our dog Ricoh was made to feel very welcome. Would definitely visit again.
